A Surrealist Wonderland

More than just a painter and illustrator, I have developed a unique flair for transforming a blank page, whether digital or physical, into a surrealist wonderland of colours and shapes.

Early Artistic Journey

My artistic journey started early. As soon as I could hold a crayon, I was already creating. Even when browsing through my old notebooks, you would find math homework surrounded by doodles and artworks. Watching an MTV video of the Gorillaz as a kid was a key turning point in my journey. Seeing this colourful, imaginative world of cartoons geared towards adults opened up a whole new game of creation.

Style and Techniques

My distinctive style, which continually evolves, has matured into vibrant, surrealistic visions that are undeniably ‘Alkan Kartal’. I play with a variety of techniques, materials, and art forms. My mind is best described as a ‘creative mess’, which I channel into a wide range of artistic expressions. With every work I create, I try to push my artistic boundaries and blur the lines between digital and traditional art.

Collaborations and Community

I truly believe in community building and collaborating with a diverse group of artists. There are a lot of talented, crazy creatives out there. They inspire me to ‘level up’ everytime I work with them. Our creative community, fueled by a passion for collaboration, life, and art, with an ever-expanding arsenal of skills, is an unstoppable force.
